Learning outcomes
Fill in the gaps of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and provide the knowledge necessary to understand the nutritional impact of food, with reference to the raw materials and the processes of transformation . Provide an overview of the main biochemical processes underlying : digestion , recruitment, distribution and processing of nutrients, integration, metabolic specialization of organs and tissues, metabolic regulation and management of energy reserves of the organism. Developing a modern vision of the biochemistry of nutrition through the understanding of the metabolism control and fine regulation of enzyme activity, signal transduction principles, control of gene expression at the transcriptional and post - transcriptional level.
