Aim of the course is to provide students with a solid background on enzyme catalysis in order to be able to properly evaluate the enzyme function in the cell and to solve problems concerning practical enzyme applications General features of enzymes and catalytic mechanisms will be considered. Kinetic analysis of enzymatic reactions with different level of complexity will be performed. Factors affecting catalytic properties and therefore the modulation of enzyme activities will be studied.
