The course has the purpose to provide the knowledge on the molecular bases of the biological systems and on the mechanisms that regulate the cellular metabolic activities. Particularly, the topics will be developed : general properties of aminoacids and proteins, mioglobin and hemoglobin, enzymes and enzymatic kinetics, lipids and biological membranes, intermediary metabolism, glycolysis and gluconeogenesis, the cycle of tricarbossilic acids, metabolism of the glycogen, the pentose phosphate pathway, oxidative phosphorylation.
