The course has the general objective of providing the technological bases of the formulations of health products, with particular regard to semi-solid ones, and cosmetics.
Furthermore, the student will be provided with the knowledge and skills to undertake an extraction process from a whole medicinal plant leading to a formulation that can be used in the health or cosmetic field.
An essential part of the course will be aimed at providing knowledge about the regulatory bodies and the Italian and European legislation governing the production and trade of health and cosmetic products.
The theoretical principles learned will be applied in the practical part of the course which will include the preparation of different formulations of products with healthy activities.
