Learning outcomes

The course aims at providing students the skills for environmental monitoring of soil and water. The first part of the course will be dedicated to the principles and techniques of sampling (schemes, density, frequency, sampling methods, concentrations, discharges and loads). In the second part, we will deal with the methods to be used for a correct interpretation of data (consistency and coherence). In the last part of the course, some examples of processing and representation (with GIS) of environmental surveys will be proposed (relating to soil nature of a farm and the to a surface water network).
