Learning outcomes

The objective of the course is to provide the student with the principal initial concepts to carry out an innovative research project in the realm of industrial chemistry. Topics of current and novel interest will be dealt with, with particular attention being devoted to the chemistry of industrial catalytic processes, macromolecular chemistry, materials for advanced applications, industrial syntheses from renewable resources and biotechnology.
The student will learn how to structure on his/her own initiative a research project on a well defined, complex subject, to work in security, to gather experimental results using criticism and rigorous criteria, to establish correlations and write a final report on the work performed during the experiments in the practical lab.
