Learning outcomes
Educational Goals: The course aims in particular to provide the basic tools for the study of history and the criteria by which we carry out a periodization of historical becoming. In addition, students must learn to describe a particular event through a multimedia product.
Contents: Introduction to history, from antiquity to the present time. The course focuses on methods and tools for the study of history, on the public use of history and the problem of periodization. A part of the course is conducted in the laboratory where a critical evaluation of the possible ways of studying history is performed by accessing sources through new information technologies; in the lab students are also started on an individual "project", consisting in the dissemination of history on topics assigned or chosen; the completed project will be evaluated as part of the exam.
