This short course intends to provide the basis for the understanding of advanced plant breeding techniques, the so-called assisted evolution technologies, which include transgenesis, cisgenesis and gene editing and their use to accelerate breeding for adaptation to climate change and to maintain/increase the productivity of plant cultivars, within the framework of sustainable agriculture. The course will also be carried out by students who will hold seminars.
