The student who successfully completes the course will have a solid knowledge of the attributes of statehood, the manifestation of sovereignty over persons and spaces; of the sources of international law and the role of national sovereignty. Moreover, he/she will have an understanding of the dispute settlement resolutions procedures and a basic knowledge of the UN Charter and the prohibition of the use of force and its exceptions. He/she will be able to comment foreign affairs in the light of the applicable international rules.
