Learning outcomes
The colonial administrative legacy still have a negative influence on social and political problems of Africa and Asia. The object of the course is the analyze of the historical and institutional process that led to disappearance of the colonial empires in the afroasiatic countries and the progress in the democratization.
The main Part of the course will focus on the denominated Area MENA (Middle East and North Africa).
The students who completes the course will manage succesfully the main political and historical processes occurred in Asia and Africa from decolonization. They will have also a good knowledge of the political system and institutions above all in Northern Africa and Middle East.
