The course aims to provide students with a historiographical reading of the Italian Risorgimento, placing it in the context of reflection on the construction of a national belonging that has developed in the different phases of twentieth century history. In this sense, a particular emphasis will be given to the historiographic interpretations that emerged during the years of fascism and those of the immediate post-war period until the seventies.
