Proposing semantic-etymological and definitional frames to the concepts of emergency and urgency;
Providing general frameworks related to the issue of social emergencies actually: studies and typologies (sociology and psychology), with particular reference to mass emergencies.
Proposing a confrontation with the world and the history of health system (in particular the emergency room) in order to detect connections with reflection in the social work activities.
Proposing a classification of the usual working mode between ordinary work and social service work in emergency urgency: the 'double hood' system, in order to recognize the theme of emergency urgency in social work
Proposing an essential retrospective of professional discussion on the subject in order to define a specific field of social service work, which is emergency urgency service.
Proposing a classification of the technical organizational tool proposed by Law 328/2000: The Emergency Social Intervention: definitions, issues and organizational models in Italy.
