The student acquires the ability to understand the key issues of the phenomenon of globalization by the latest developments in contemporary sociology, with particular regard to the following topics: social identities; political power; religions; economic and financial regulation; global conflicts. The aim of the course is to provide a sociological toolbox for the social research, and for the social and political professions that relate daily to the new dynamics introduced by globalization.
