The students who complete the course successfully will be able to peruse and to analyze ancient and modern philosophical writings, by means of a direct sources analysis enhanced by hypertextual tools. Furthermore, a comparison between ancient and modern political thought will make them aware of the manifold connections between political phenomena and philosophical ideas and traditions and will teach them to appraise the logical and not-so-logical patterns of ancient and modern political speeches.
