: Students who successfully complete the course will acquire a solid knowledge of the main communication theories. Particular attention will be devoted to their theoretical dimensions and their evolution within the hybrid media system, characterized by digitization and social media. Moreover, students will be able to understand the lines of research carried out by leading scholars in the field of media studies. They will be able to use them to analyze the transformation of the public sphere, with a particular focus on political communication.
