Learning outcomes

The course is divided into 2 modules. The first module aims to provide students with the theoretical, analytical and methodological tools to understand policy-making: from the agenda-setting to the evaluation phase. The second module will focus on the analysis of specific policy sectors (such as healthcare, migration, education, foreign policy, control of corruption and organized crime). At the end of the course, the student are expected: a) to analytically identify actors, processes and resources related to policy-making; b) to understand policy processes in the main sectors of public intervention and regulation; c) to critically evaluate the functioning of public policies and their impact through the empirical collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.
