Learning outcomes

The course aims at discussing, from a diachronic and comparative point of view, on the genesis and development of modern and contemporary citizenship within the European and American context, through a series of relevant historical-political clues. The course will cover the history of citizenship involving the rise of rights and the categories of inclusion and exclusion, retracing the different praxis and normative forms, according to the most recent researches of historiographic investigation and citizenship studies.
