Learning outcomes

The main training objective of the Course is to provide a view of the main and most up-to-date psychological theories, and their most recent and innovative applicative developments, that characterise the psychology of work, human resources, and organisations also in its most recent methodological articulations and professional outcomes with particular regard to the managerial, operational and strategic spheres of Human Resources Policies and Organisational and Corporate Communication, in the context of new forms of work related to technological change, globalisation, and the skills that individuals and organisations should have in order to be effective and competitive. The aim is to provide a historical, theoretical, and methodological frame of reference that allows one to approach the “new organisations” to analyze and intervene in the complexity of constantly evolving organisational contexts, taking into account the subjective, personal/professional and structural/organisational dimensions in the specificity of the chosen profession. The subjects will focus on the following main topics: (1) work subjectivity; (2) scientific management; (3) the social nature of work; (4) organisational development; (5) organisational culture; (6) the organisational climate; (7) the group: the work team, teamwork; (8) social psychological dynamics of power and leadership; (9) organisational skills. A specific in-depth part will be devoted to the topic of Organisational well-being for the prevention of psychosocial risks, from a participative perspective, addressing the main psychosocial-organisational determinants and dynamics of work-related stress.
