Aim of the course (lessons in italian language only) is intoducing students to demographic issues and making students
able tu use the basic tools of quantitative demography to interpret the most significant aspects of the population by the
analysis of population data about structure and dynamics.
The demographic perspective is crucial for the study of social and economics phenomena, and for their
understanding.
A part of the course, also, is, on the one hand, specifically dedicated to the study of the recent and now wellestablished
decrease in births in Italy and its consequences and, on the other hand, to the study of population ageing, particularly after Covid-19
