Learning outcomes

The course aims to provide in-depth knowledge about the social psychology of adolescence, the social construction of identity and its theoretical and applicative implications in different life contexts and agencies, such as the family, school, peer group, as well as areas of interest in the professional intervention of the social worker. Addressing adolescence from the perspective of social psychology also involves examining the broader relationship between youth and society and assessing the psycho-social positioning of youth in a changing world. Among the main objectives of the course is the study of the risk and protection factors underlying the various more or less adaptive growth outcomes, whereby the analysis of the environment in which adolescents live is further specified through psycho-social investigation methodologies and strategies in the best understanding and intervention and with a particular focus on the perspective of promoting the psycho-social wellbeing of the adolescent.
