Learning outcomes

The course aims to provide knowledge and skills aimed at the use of computational tools for determining the stress state of machine components. The student will learn the basic principles for the automated calculation of stress and strain, and for the synthesis and modeling of most common loads and constraint in machines. In addition, the student will learn operative basics in the use of commercial software for the study of the stress state and the structural integrity verification of machine elements.
This knowledge will allow the student to perform in junior roles in the design, simulation, operation analysis and diagnostics of machines.
