the course provides knowledge of the proper terminology for describing ore deposit types and recognizing ore-forming processes, the relationships with plate tectonics and Earth evolution. The course provides also knowledge about water-rock interactions, heat and geothermal systems, geothermal energy, and the main geochemical methods in mineral exploration, as well as in l geochemistry applied to the recognition and mitigation of environmental issues in mining areas.
