The student who will successfully complete the
course will have acquired the knowledge on theories
and concepts linking the globalization process, civil
society and social movements. Specifically, she will
have learned the principal aspects of the political,
economic and cultural dimensions of globalization.
Moreover, she will have understood how social
movements and civil societies are globally
constructed. Finally, she will have acquired the basic
skills for the analysis of the impact of the
globalization processes on domestic forms of
political mobilization with a specific focus on south
European countries.
