Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide the basic elements relating to the biology, production, technology and control of seeds of the main herbaceous species of agricultural interest. At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand the physical, physiological, health and genetic aspects of seed quality and the laboratory testing methods and procedures for their determination. She/he will also acquire knowledge of the genetic and agronomic principles of seed production, the requirements of certified seed production and the role of seed certification in seed production.
