Learning outcomes
The course will aim to give to the master science students a state of the art of the current and potential future scenarios for the application of automated and robotic systems in agriculture. The basic principles of the precision agriculture will be recalled and all the main automatic systems will be described, like the guidance systems and variable rate technologies for the application of fertilizers and agrochemicals. Furthermore, all the main agricultural robots will be described for the different scenarios like herbaceous, horticultural and tree crops.
