The course aims at analyzing history and culture of welfare state in Europe. In particular, the course will focus on the evolution of citizenship in terms of civil, political and social rights. The student who will successfully complete the course will be able to master the conceptual tools for understanding the building of the welfare state in Europe and to compare different models of welfare state.
