Once the teaching has been completed, the student will be able to interpret and analyse, on the basis of the methodology usually employed in economics, the workings of the public management of the economy within the European Union, with reference to the internal policies of the member States as well as the trasnational effects of such policies and, also, the constraints imposed on the member States by their participation in the Union.
