Lo/La studente/ssa potrà acquisire solide conoscenze sulle fonti e metodologie utilizzate per l'archeologia dei paesaggi. Acquisirà la capacità di identificare i diversi paesaggi urbani e territoriali che si sono stratificati nelle città e campagne oggetto di analisi durante il corso
The students will be able to acquire knowledge about the sources and methodologies utilized for Landscape Archaeology. They will acquire the ability to identify the different urban and territorial landscapes which have become stratified in the cities and the countryside which will be analysed
La verifica delle conoscenze sarà effettuata con interazione fra docente e studente nel corso delle lezioni e delle ricognizioni archeologico-topografiche sul terreno. Lo/La studente/ssa presenterà un argomento fra quelli trattati nel corso (testo scritto o presentazione powerpoint)
During lessons (which will be carried out through the Teams System) and surveys continuous interaction with the students will ascertain their state of knowledge. Students will present a case study regarding the topics discussed (written text or powerpoint presentation)
Lo/La studente/ssa saprà identificare e documentare i diversi elementi dei paesaggi urbani e territoriali. Si eserciterà ad elaborare i dati in Sistemi informativi territoriali
The students will be able to identify and document the different elements of the Landscapes. They will gain experience in processing data in the GIS System
Nel corso delle lezioni e del lavoro sul campo saranno svolte attività pratiche per l'individuazione dei paesaggi dall'età romana ai nostri giorni. Lo/La studente/ssa dovrà preparare e presentare un elaborato su un case-study di paesaggio pluristratificato, urbano o territoriale.
Practical activities will be carried out during the lessons and the field-work in order to recognize the various landscapes overlapping from Roman time up to the present day. The students will have to prepare and present a paper on a case-study about an urban or territorial multistratified landscape.
Lo/La studente/ssa potrà acquisire e/o sviluppare sensibilità alle problematiche ambientali, si abituerà al lavoro di gruppo, e potrà acquisire accuratezza e precisione nello svolgere attività di raccolta e analisi dati
The students will acquire and/or develop knowledge of environmental topics. They will become used to group-working and acquire precision in collecting and analysing data.
Saranno valutati il grado di accuratezza e precisione delle attività pratiche svolte.
The students’ precision in carrying out their tasks will be assessed

Per frequentare il corso di Laboratorio di Topografia non è necessario aver seguito il corso di Topografia antica
An adeguate level of general culture
Il corso consiste in lezioni e in ricognizioni archeologico-topografiche sul terreno in varie aree di Pisa e del suo territorio.
The course consists in lessons and surveys carried out in various districts of Pise and its territory. Students who will be not able to take part in the survey during the lessons will acquire knowledge and methodological tools for carrying survey and identifying ancient landscapes in areas of their choise
I paesaggi. Metodologie, strategie e strumenti per la lettura dei paesaggi nel loro divenire attraverso i secoli, dall’antichità ai nostri giorni. Interazione fra uomo e ambiente, con particolare attenzione al periodo romano : centuriazione, regime delle acque, viabilità, popolamento, attività economiche. Verranno effettuate ricognizioni topografico-archeologiche in Pisa e nel territorio circostante e attività seminariale dove gli studenti potranno presentare casi di studio su paesaggi di loro interesse
Landscapes. The methodologies, strategies and tools to identify the landscapes as they changed through the centuries, from Antiquity to the present day. The interaction between natural and anthropic agencies. Roman landscapes : centuriatio, road and river system, rural settlement patterns and economic activities. Surveys will be carried out in Pisa and its territory and seminars will be organized where students will present case studies of their interest

Gli studenti oltre a prendere parte alle varie attività del Laboratorio di Topografia antica possono partecipare agli scavi a Vada Volaterrana (San Gaetano di Vada, Rosignano M.mo, Livorno) e Luna (Luni, SP)
As well as participating in the activities of the Ancient Topography Laboratory, Students can take part in excavations in Vada Volaterrana (San Gaetano di Vada, Rosignano M.mo, Livorno) and Luna (Luni, SP).
