The student will be able to apply the tools of economic analysis to interpret some fundamental institutes of law (property, tort and contract). Moreover, he/she will also acquire a basic knowledge of some advanced microeconomic themes and topics, each with relevant impact upon the law, such as antitrust, corporate governance, institutional economics and mechanism design.

With the oral presentation, to be made to the teacher and the other students, the student must demonstrate the ability to approach a circumscribed research problem, and organise an effective exposition of the results. During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression.

Further information:
Part of the evaluation (30%) will be based on an oral report, based on a list of assigned topics, presented by each student during the last weeks of the course. The oral exam will also require the knowledge of at least one of the oral reports presented by other students.
