Learning outcomes
Knowledge
Students who complete the course successfully will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge about political governance during the Italian fascist regime in a comparative perspective regarding all totalitarian regimes. Students will be able to read critically some historical documents, and will have demonstrated the ability to define a (circumscribed) historiographical problem, approach it and present the results in a structured way.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
Students will be assessed on their demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology. - During the oral exam students must be able to demonstrate their knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression. - Students must demonstrate the ability to put into practice and to execute, with critical awareness, the activities illustrated or carried out under the guidance of the teacher during the course.

The course will investigate the whole subject of political governance during the Italian fascist regime with particular attention to the process of education and training of the new leading class.
