Lo studente, attraverso il workshop Cinema del Mondo arabo: problematiche sociali e politiche, potrà acquisire conoscenze rispetto all'evoluzione storica delle problematiche sociali e politiche del mondo arabo attraverso l'analisi specifica di alcune pellicole cinematografiche prodotte nel contesto arabo.
The student, through workshop "Cinema in the Arab World: Social and Political Issues", will be able to acquire knowledge about the historical evolution of the social and political problems of the Arab world through the specific analysis of some films produced in the Arab context.
Per l'acertamento delle conoscenze acquisite sarà richiesto ad ogni studente la redazione di un elaborato scritto su una tematica a scelta tra quelle affrontate durante il workshop
In order to acquire the knowledge gained, each student will be asked to prepare a written paper on a topic chosen from the ones discussed during the workshop
Lo studente sarà in grado di presentare in una relazione scritta i risultati dell'attività progettuale svolta
The student will be able to present in a written report the results of the project activity being carried out
Lo studente dovrà preparare e presentare una relazione scritta che riporti i risultati dell'attività di progetto
The student will have to prepare and submit a written report showing the results of the project activity
Lo studente potrà saper gestire responsabilità di conduzione di un team di progetto

In seguito alle attività seminariali saranno richieste agli studenti delle brevi relazioni concernenti gli argomenti trattati
Following the seminar activities students will be asked for short reports on the topics discussed
Non sono richeste propedeuticità specifiche, ma si consiglia la conoscenza di storia contemporanea e storia delle relazioni internazionali
No specific pre-requisites are required, but the knowledge of contemporary history and history of international relations is strongly recommended

Le lezioni saranno tenute mediante la visione di film preceduti da un inquadramento storico, politico e sociale di un paese specifico.
Lessons will be held through the viewing of films preceded by a historical, political and social framing of a specific country.
Il corso si focalizzerà sul fenomeno del radicalismo islamico, terrorismo e condizione della donna nella sfera islamica
The course will focus on the phenomenon of Islamic radicalism, terrorism and women's status in the Islamic sphere
