Al termine del corso, se avrà seguito la maggior parte delle lezioni e avrà preso parte attivamente alle discussioni, lo studente:
- avrà acquisito conoscenze in merito agli strumenti e alle metodologie di analisi del testo letterario
- avrà acquisito consapevolezza su analogie e differenze della declinazione di temi e correnti nelle letterature di lingua portoghese (Portogallo, Brasile, Africa)
- avrà acquisito conoscenze rispetto all'evoluzione storica delle realtà prese in esame
- avrà acquisito la capacità di argomentare in lingua portoghese su un tema letterario

Since this is a seminar course, methods can be tested by proposing to the students

Gli studenti dovranno possedere competenza linguistica (attiva e passiva) in portoghese tale da affrontare lezioni, lettura dei testi e discussioni in lingua (minimo B2+).
Il corso si rivolge prevamentemente agli studenti di I e II anno delle Lauree Magistrali in Lingue, Letterature e Filologie Euroamericane e di Linguistica e Traduzione, ovvero a coloro che hanno già un bagaglio culturale (linguistico e letterario) nell'ambito della Lusitanistica (almeno 2 annualità di Lingua portoghese e di Letteratura portoghese sostenute nel Triennio).
Gli studenti che non possiedano sufficiente competenza linguistica (Italianistica), potranno seguire il corso di Letteratura della laurea triennale in Lingue e Letterature Straniere, oppure concordare con la docente un programma alternativo.
Students will have to have a linguistic competence (active and passive) in Portuguese to face lessons, read texts and hold discussions in Portuguese (minimum B2 +).
The course is addressed primarily to first and second year students of the Master's Degrees in Euro-American Languages, Literatures and Philology and Linguistics and Translation, or to those who already have a cultural background (linguistic and literary) in the context of Portuguese studies (at least 2 Annual courses of Portuguese Language and Portuguese Literature in the Triennium).
Students who do not have sufficient linguistic competence (Master in Italian Studies) will be able to follow the three-year degree course in Foreign Languages and Literatures, or ask the Professor for an alternative programme.
Lingua portoghese I (livello Magistrale) per gli studenti di Letteratura I.

Si suggerisce almeno la frequenza del Laboratorio DEPLE (Lingua portoghese 1, Laurea Triennale in Lingue e Letterature Straniere) agli studenti che non possiedono alcuna competenza linguistica, visto che la bibliografia primaria e critica è in prevalenza in lingua portoghese.
Portuguese language I (Master's level) for Literature I students.

At least the frequency of the DEPLE Laboratory (Portuguese Language 1, Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Languages and Literature) is advisable to students who do not have any linguistic competence in the language, given that the primary and critical bibliography is predominantly written in Portuguese.

The course is held in Portuguese and provides an active participation of students; it takes place in the classroom, with the possible help of audio and video materials and slides on chosen topics
As for the materials:
it will be possible to use anthological materials elaborated ad hoc by the professor and distributed through the Moodle platform, which will be used for professor / student interaction and sharing of materials distributed during the lessons. On the Moodle you will also find bibliography or other materials that are difficult to find

Le letterature di espressione portoghese della seconda metà del Novecento presentano linee espressive che si possono configurare attraverso i prefissi evocati dal titolo del corso: post-moderniste, post-coloniali, post-rivoluzionarie, neorealiste, neoavangusrdiste, neomoderniste, ecc. Il corso ha come obiettivo tratteggiare una mappa che lega Portogallo-Brasile-Africa in categorie assimilabili o comparabili, nel fitto dialogo che costituisce la "lusofonia letteraria", partendo da tematiche "contro" (contro la dittatura, il colonialismo, l'accademia, la società borghese, le convenzioni, ecc.). Tra gli autori presi in esame, José Cardoso Pires, Dinis Machado, Mário Cesariny, António Lobo Antunes, Pepetela, Luandino Vieira, João Guimarães Rosa, Clarice Lispector.

The literatures of Portuguese expression in the second half of the twentieth century present expressive lines that can be configured through the prefixes evoked by the title of the course: post-modernist, post-colonial, post-revolutionary, neorealist, new-vangard, neo-modernist, etc. The course aims to outline a map that links Portugal-Brazil-Africa in similar or comparable categories, in the dense dialogue that constitutes "literary lusofonia", starting from "counter" themes (counter dictatorship, colonialism, academia, bourgeois society, conventions, etc.). Among the authors examined are José Cardoso Pires, Dinis Machado, Mário Cesariny, António Lobo Antunes, Pepetela, Luandino Vieira, João Guimarães Rosa, Clarice Lispector.

Per i non frequentanti il programma è identico. I non frequentanti saranno tenuti a consolidare la loro preparazione estendendo lo studio alla Bibliografia di approfondimento che sarà caricata su Moodle.

For non-attending the programme is the same as for attending students. Non-attending students will be required to consolidate their preparation by extending the study to in-depth bibliography that will be uploaded onto Moodle.

Lo studente dovrà redigere un breve elaborato critico in lingua portoghese (8-10 pagine, completo di bibliografia), sviluppando un tema concordato con la docente. L'elaborato dovrà essere consegnato per mail, in formato pdf, una settimana prima della data prevista per l'orale.
La prova orale, in lingua portoghese, consisterà nella discussione dell'elaborato e dei temi affrontati durante il corso.
Si ricorda che gli studenti si dovranno iscrivere alla prova orale sul Sistema d'Ateneo (le iscrizioni terminano 5 giorni prima della data della prova: non saranno accettati studenti non iscritti).
The student will have to write a short critical essay in Portuguese (8-10 pages, with bibliography), developing a theme agreed with the professor. The report must be delivered by e-mail, in pdf format, one week before the date scheduled for the oral exam.
The oral exam, in Portuguese, will consist in the discussion of the elaborate and the themes dealt with during the course.
Please note that students must register for the Oral exam on the University System (enrolment ends 5 days before the date of the exam: non-registered students will not be accepted).
