Al termine del corso lo studente sarà in grado di riconoscere i caratteri fondamentali dello Stato moderno e le modalità di funzionamento dell'ordinamento giuridico statale. Sarà altresì in grado di orientarsi nella lettura della Carta costituzionale e di collegare i principali temi trattati al testo.
At the end of the course, the student will be able to recognize the fundamental features of the modern State and how the legal system works. The student will also be able to focus on reading the Constitution and linking the main topics of the course to the text.
La verifica delle conoscenze acquisite sarà accertata al termine del corso mediante un esame finale dove si richiede la descrizione di alcuni istituti del diritto pubblico, in collegamento con le relative previsioni contenute nel testo costituzionale.
Verification of the acquired knowledge will be tested at the end of the course by a final examination where the description of some public law institutes is requested, in conjunction with the relevant provisions contained in the Constitution.
Al termine del corso lo studente sarà in grado di affrontare le tematiche giuridiche proposte attraverso la prospettiva offerta dal diritto positivo, a partire dai principi costituzionali, dall'interpretazione data dalla dottrina e dalla lettura fornita dalla giurisprudenza, in primo luogo costituzionale.
At the end of the course the student will be able to deal with the legal issues proposed through the perspective offered by the positive law, above all the constitutional principles, the interpretation given by doctrine and the reading provided by jurisprudence, first of all the constitutional jurisprudence.
La verifica delle capacità acquisite sarà accertata al termine del corso mediante un esame finale dove si richiede di padroneggiare la complessità degli istituti, anche nella stratificazione prodotta dal susseguirsi delle fonti e dell'interpretazione giurisprudenziale.
Verification of the acquired skills will be tested at the end of the course through a final examination where the student is required to master the complexity of the institutes, including the stratification produced by the succession of sources of law and jurisprudence interpretation.
Al termine del corso lo studente acquisirà sensibilità nei confronti delle tematiche giuridiche, riconoscendo la specificità del discorso giuridico-costituzionale e impadronendosi del linguaggio specifico che lo caratterizza.
At the end of the course the student will acquire sensitivity to legal issues, recognizing the specificity of the legal-constitutional discourse and taking on the specific language that features it.
La verifica dei comportamenti acquisiti sarà accertata in particolare attraverso l'esame della correttezza e della appropriatezza del linguaggio utilizzato, oltre che della impostazione data nelle risposte fornite.
Verification of acquired behaviors will be determined in particular by examining the correctness and appropriateness of the language used, as well as the setting given in the answers provided.
E' auspicabile una conoscenza di tipo storico-politico delle principali vicende del XX secolo per un corretto inquadramento del significato e della portata dei testi costituzionali del Novecento. E' altresì auspicabile una conoscenza almeno della struttura del testo costituzionale e delle sue principali partizioni.
It is desirable to have a historical-political knowledge of the main events of the twentieth century for a proper framing of the significance of the constitutional texts of that age. It is also desirable to know at least the structure of the constitutional text and its main partitions.
Il corso affronterà i seguenti argomenti: l’ordinamento giuridico, lo Stato e i suoi elementi costitutivi; le forme di Stato e le forme di governo; l’evoluzione storica dello Stato italiano; cenni sul cammino comunitario e sui caratteri attuali dell’Unione europea; il Parlamento; il Governo; il Presidente della Repubblica; le autonomie territoriali; il sistema delle fonti del diritto; i principi costituzionali, i diritti e i doveri dei cittadini; la magistratura; la giustizia costituzionale.
I principali istituti del diritto pubblico verranno esaminati a partire dal testo vigente della Costituzione italiana, di cui sono richieste una lettura e una conoscenza approfondite.
The course will address the following subjects: the legal order, the State and its elements; the forms of State and the forms of government; the historical evolution of the Italian State; a short description of the European path and the current features of the European Union; the Parliament; the Government; the President of the Republic; territorial autonomies; the system of the sources of law; the constitutional principles, the rights and duties of citizens; the judiciary; constitutional justice.
The main institutes of public law will be examined starting from the current text of the Italian Constitution, that the student must know in depth.

The same rules applie to students who are non attending the course.
L’esame consiste obbligatoriamente in una prova scritta con più domande a risposta aperta e in una successiva prova orale, di carattere eventuale, su richiesta dello studente. Alla prova orale lo studente accede dopo aver superato la prova scritta. E’ ammesso a sostenere la prova orale lo studente che abbia conseguito un punteggio di almeno 15/30 nella prova scritta.
The exam is written, with multiple open ended questions, and then there is an oral examination, at student's request. At the oral examination, the student enters after passing the written test. The student who has reached a score of at least 15/30 in the written test is admitted to the oral test.
