Obiettivi di apprendimento
Learning outcomes
Conoscenze

Il corso ha come obiettivo il raggiungimento del livello B2 di conoscenza della lingua francese, stabiliti dal Quadro Comune Europeo di Riferimento per le Lingue (QCER). Le lezioni frontali con i docenti, unitamente alle esercitazioni scritte e orali svolte dai collaboratori ed esperti linguistici (CEL), mirano a offrire agli studenti gli strumenti per acquisire, perfezionare e potenziare le competenze linguistiche e comunicative previste per il livello indicato.

Al termine del corso, lo studente avrà acquisito conoscenze specifiche sulla sintassi della lingua francese e sarà in grado di: 

  • riconoscere le differenze principali tra la sintassi del francese e dell'italiano; 
  • identificare le unità fraseologiche in un testo; 
  • applicare strategie per la traduzione delle unità fraseologiche.
Knowledge

Bye the end of the course, students who successfully complete the course will have the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL). Students should integrate their knowledge and skills attending the language classes organized by the CLI (former lettorato) for the required level.

By the end of the course, students will have acquired knowledge about French syntax and will be able to: 

  • recognize main differences existing between French syntax and Italian syntax; 
  • identify phraseological units in a text; 
  • appy strategies for translation of phraseological units.
Modalità di verifica delle conoscenze

Per l'accertamento delle conoscenze saranno svolte delle esercitazioni utilizzando test e altre attività sulla piattaforma E-learning e in classe. 

Assessment criteria of knowledge

Ongoing assessment to monitor academic progress will be carried out in the form of tests on the e-learning space and during class.

Capacità

Al termine del corso, lo studente saprà usare dizionari e corpora per la traduzione delle espressioni idiomatiche.

Skills

By the end of the course, students will be able to use dictionaries and corpora for translation of idioms.

Prerequisiti (conoscenze iniziali)

Il corso presuppone un livello di competenza linguistica in francese B1 del QCER.

Programma (contenuti dell'insegnamento)

Il programma del corso contempla gli argomenti seguenti: 

  • la norma e la variazione; 
  • la grammatica tradizionale: categorie e funzioni grammaticali; 
  • l'ordine delle parole in francese e in italiano; 
  • la scrittura inclusiva; 
  • le grammatiche trasformazionali: lexique-grammaire e classes d'objets; 
  • la fraseologia francese: definizione e approcci; 
  • collocazioni, espressioni idiomatiche, paremiologia; 
  • fraseologia e traduzione; 
  • l'uso della fraseologia nei media e nella pubblicità.
Syllabus

The course will be focused on: 

  • norm and variation; 
  • traditional grammar: categories and functions; 
  • syntactic order in French and in Italian; 
  • the inclusive writing code; 
  • transformational grammars: lexicon-grammar and "classes d'objets" approach; 
  • French phraseology: definition and approaches; 
  • collocations, idioms, paremiology; 
  • phraseology and translation; 
  • the use of phraseology in press and advertising.

Indicazioni per non frequentanti

Il programma di esame è identico per gli studenti frequentanti e non frequentanti. La frequenza, seppur non obbligatoria, è fortemente consigliata. 

Non-attending students info

The syllabus is the same as that for regular attenders. Course attendance is strongly recommended. 

Modalità d'esame

L’esame è strutturato in due parti: una prova scritta e orale con i collaboratori ed esperti linguistici, volta ad accertare i contenuti appresi durante il corso di lettorato, e una prova di linguistica. Il completamento dell’esame di lettorato è necessario per l’accesso all’esame orale di lingua e linguistica.

Assessment methods

The final exam consists of two parts: a written and oral test, in order to assess the knowledge and the skills learned during the instrumental language course (former lettorato), and a French linguistics test (see also syllabus). Students will be allowed to pass the second part only after having completed the various sections of the instrumental language tests.
