Learning outcomes
Knowledge

Knowledge of the syntactic functions, the phonetic, morphological and lexical features of the Spanish language.

 

Assessment criteria of knowledge

The final exam will consist in the evaluation of a written assignment.

Skills

The student will be able to recognize and analyze the main grammatical, syntactic, morphological, phonetic and lexical structures of the Spanish language.

Lectures will be alternated with reading and practical exercises.

Behaviors

The student can acquire basic meta-linguistic knowledge.

 

Prerequisites

A non-superficial knowledge of the basic Italian grammar is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.

Syllabus

The course will consist of an introduction to some aspects of the Spanish language and to the basic metalinguistic tools for the analysis of the phonetic, morphological, syntactic and lexical structures. Practical exercises of analysis and translation on texts for the preparation of the final test will also be done by the students. The course will take place in Spanish.

During the lessons some texts will be indicated to the students for syntactic, morphological, grammatical and lexical analysis.

 

Non-attending students info

The exam program for non-attending students is identical to the one for attending students.

Assessment methods

The exam consists of a two-hour written test that verifies the skills acquired.

 

Notes

The Spanish language lessons will begin on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018. On September 17th  the presentation of the Spanish Language Course I and of the Lettorati took place (as announced on the site of the Department). During the meeting also the division in the four groups was announced.

The course will take place in the first semester. As an integral part of the exam, the student is required to reach the level of linguistic competence

envisaged (B1) by successfully passing the level test of the lettore, a requirement which is essential to the record of the Spanish Speaking mark.

The DELE (Instituto Cervantes) certification is to be considered equivalent and valid for two years.

The presentation of the Spanish Language I (LIN-LET) and the relative breakdown in the four planned groups (AD) will take place presumably on Monday, September 25th at 10 am in the Aula B2 (Palazzo Boileau, 2) - Via Santa Maria 85. The professor will be present, together with the language collaborators who will carry out Spanish language exercises throughout the academic year 2018-2019.

Course timetable: TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY 17: 45-19: 15 (B1); THURSDAY 14: 15-16: 00 (CAR 2)
