Learning outcomes
Conoscenze

Al termine del corso lo studente:

 

  • possiede conoscenze linguistiche in inglese L2 approssimate al livello “intermedio” del QCER (B1+);
  • è in grado di comprendere le idee principali di testi inglesi complessi, su argomenti sia concreti che astratti, e di comprendere il senso generale di discussioni tecniche in campo pedagogico (a livello B1+);
  • è in grado di interagire in inglese con una certa scioltezza con i parlanti nativi pur con occasionali richieste di spiegazione (a livello B1+);
  • sa produrre in inglese un testo chiaro su argomenti legati alla propria sfera professionale e sa spiegare un punto di vista su un argomento precedentemente approfondito fornendo i pro e i contro delle proprie opinioni (a livello B1+);
  • dimostra di saper aiutare gli alunni a sviluppare abilità linguistiche.
Knowledge

At the end of the course students:

 

  • will possess linguistic knowledge in English L2 approximated to the "intermediate" level of the CEFR (B1+);
  • are able to understand the main ideas of complex English texts, on both concrete and abstract topics, and to understand the general sense of technical discussions in the pedagogical field (at B1+ level);
  • are able to interact in English with some fluency with native speakers with occasional requests for explanation (at B1+ level);
  • can produce clear text in English on topics related to one's professional sphere and can explain the pros and cons of their views on a previously explored topic (at B1 + level);
  • demonstrate that they can help pupils develop linguistic skills.
Programma (contenuti dell'insegnamento)

Grammatica:
Forma passiva dei tempi verbali: present simple, present continuous, present perfect simple, past simple and continuous, il futuro con will e i verbi modali.

I verbi modali: modals of deduction – might, can’t, must

Il periodo ipotetico: first, second conditional and third conditionals and future time clauses

L’infinito e il gerundio (la forma in -ing)

Discorso indiretto

Gli indefiniti: quantifiers

Uso dei pronomi relativi in frasi incidentali e non incidentali

Frasi interrogative con question tags

Grammar:
Passive of the following tenses: present simple, present continuous, present perfect simple, past simple and continuous, future wtih will and modal verbs.

Modal verbs: modals of deduction – might, can’t, must

Conditionals: first, second conditional and third conditionals and future time clauses

To + infinitive and -ing form

Indirect speech

Indefinites: quantifiers

Relative pronouns in defnining and non defining clauses

L’esame è composto da tre parti: Reading, Use of English and Writing (75%); Listening (25%).


Alcune domande relative alle lezioni della prof.ssa Bruti saranno incluse nello scritto.
Assessment methods

The exam consists of 3 parts: Reading, Use of English and Writing (75%); Listening (25%).

Some questions concering prof.ssa Bruti's lessons will be included in the written test.
