Knowledge

Students will acquire the skills related to the history of the discipline, and its functional and methodological evolution, with special reference to the changes imposed by new technologies

Assessment criteria of knowledge

During the course the students will be invited to participate through seminars.

Skills

The aim of the course is to ensure that students are able to use tools to identify, select and use bibliographies; at the end of course the students will also be able to autonomously produce bibliographic materials and tools.

Assessment criteria of skills

Guided activities of bibliographic research and drafting of tools related to different disciplinary fields will be carried out.

Behaviors

During the lessons the students will develop a methodological approach based on accuracy in the identification, evaluation and selection of bibliographic information; at the end of the course they will be able to master the specific lexicon of the subject.

Assessment criteria of behaviors

During the activities carried out through lectures and seminars participation, operational precision and mastery of methodological and lexical tools will be evaluated.

Teaching methods

Conventional teaching delivered with the help of Powerpoint, analysis of websites, opacs and databases. 

Syllabus

The past, present and future of Bibliography. Particular attention will be paid to the analysis of the evolution of the discipline, to the complexity and variety of sources, citations and copyright issues.
