Obiettivi di apprendimento
Learning outcomes
Conoscenze

 Al termine del corso, lo studente, in sinergia con le esercitazioni di lettorato, raggiungerà il livello B1 di Lingua francese del Quadro Europeo di Riferimento per le Lingue.

Lo studente sarà sensibilizzato alla metodologia della sociolinguistica di lingua francese e alle problematiche sociolinguistiche relative alle variazioni della lingua francese, con particolare attenzione alla lingua orale.

 

Knowledge

The course aims at the acquisition of communicative skills in French corresponding to B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL). 

The student will be sensitized to the methodology of French-speaking sociolinguistics and to sociolinguistic problems related to variations in French language, with particular attention to oral language.

 

Modalità di verifica delle conoscenze

Regolari esercitazioni in aula, raccolta di piccoli corpora, letture e commenti svolti in aula (in applicazione alla lezione frontale), traduzione di brevi testi (giornalistici o letterari). 

Assessment criteria of knowledge

Regular classroom exercises, collecting small corpora, readings and linguistic comments in the classroom (in application to the frontal lesson).

Capacità

Al termine del corso, lo studente sarà capace di:

- identificare le diverse forme linguistiche relative alle diverse variazioni; di afferrare le sfumature specifiche per ogni variazione;

- identificare le principali strategie di traduzione nel passaggio dal francese all’italiano e viceversa.

Skills

By the end of the course, students will be able to: 

- identify the different linguistic forms relating to the different variations;

- grasp the specific nuances for each variation;

- identify strategies in translation from French to Italian.

Modalità di verifica delle capacità

Saranno svolte attività pratiche per la ricerca dei corpora;

Lo studente dovrà presentare una relazione scritta sull’analisi linguistica dei dati raccolti;

Assessment criteria of skills

Practical activities for corpora research will be carried out;

The student must present a written report on the linguistic analysis of the data collected;

Translation of short texts will be carried out during classes.

Lo studente migliorerà le proprie capacità redazionali ed espositive in lingua francese.

Lo studente potrà acquisire e/o sviluppare le conoscenze delle problematiche sociolinguistiche legate alle variazioni

Students will improve their writing and oral skills in French. 

The student can acquire and / or develop knowledge of sociolinguistic problems related to variations;

 Sarà valutato il grado di accuratezza e precisione delle attività svolte (in particolare con un confronto personale con la docente durante i ricevimenti);

Assessment criteria of behaviors

Following seminar activities, students will be requested to submit short reports concerning the topics discussed.

 

Prerequisiti (conoscenze iniziali)

Il corso presuppone un livello di competenza linguistica A2 (francese) del QCER.

Indicazioni metodologiche

Le lezioni si svolgono in modo frontale (in lingua francese) con l’ausilio di una dispensa disponibile sulla piattaforma Moodle; Gli articoli scientifici letti in classe saranno ugualmente disponibili su Moodle;

Gli studenti saranno invitati a presentarsi in modo da essere seguiti dalla docente e da monitorare le ricerche da svolgere;

Teaching methods

The lessons are held frontally (in French) with the help of handout available on the Moodle platform; The scientific articles read in class, and the extracts of the essays will also be available on Moodle;

Title of the course: “Sociolinguistics and variation”

  • Define sociolinguistics;
  • Epistemology, linguistic and philosophical presuppositions and methodology;
  • Variations in French: - diatopic variation / diaphasic variation / diastratic variation;
  • Focus on trendy French;
  • Focus on “argot” (slang);

Valutazione finale: prova scritta finale e colloquio orale;

Per i frequentanti (70% delle presenze): 2 prove in itinere e colloquio orale finale;

Assessment methods

The exam consists of written test. Furthermore, students will be asked to produce a personal research. For translation module: a written test during the course.
