To acquire a basic knowledge of the new actualist consideration of the notion of infinite, and, on this basis, of the development of the theory of set. The main problems and developments of the theory will be also considered.

Il seminario prenderà in esame alcuni scritti di Geor Cantor, insieme con alcuni dei successivi sviluppi, con Ernst Zermelo e Thoralf Skolem.
The seminar will give attention to some papers by Georg Cantor, together with some subsequent developments by Ernst Zermelo and Thoralf Skolem.
Le opere di Cantor nella traduzione italiana di Rigamonti, edizioni Sansoni, sarà fornita indicazione sulle altre opere e su parti manualistiche durante il seminario.
Cantor's papers will be used in the Italian translation by Rigamonti, published by Sansoni. Further indications will be given during the seminar.
