Gli studenti del corso avranno la possibilità di apprendere i principali concetti e metodi della Geografia Umana e, in particolare, di comprendere l'interazione dei gruppi umani con lo spazio partendo dal concetto di regione e la diversità dei comportamenti degli stessi. Inoltre, potranno acquisire i principali temi della Geografia della popolazione, con particolare riferimento ai modelli migratori, ai mutamenti della popolazione, all'evoluzione dei flussi migratori e al relativo impatto sul territorio.
The students of this course will have the opportunity to learn the main concepts and methods of Human Geography and, especially, to understand the interaction between human groups and space starting from the meaning of region and the diversity of human behaviours. Besides, they will learn also the main themes of population geography, with particular reference to migration models, population changes, migratory flows evolution and their impact of the territory.
Per l'accertamento delle conoscenze saranno svolte delle prove in itinere utilizzando test e/o incontri tra il docente e il gruppo di studenti che frequenta il corso.
For the assestments of the knowledge will be carried out tests in itinere using tests and / or meetings between the teacher and the group of the students who attend the course.
Lo studente sarà in grado di svolgere una ricerca e fare un'analisi a partire dalle fonti bibliografiche di riferimento.
The students will be able to carry out a research and make an analysis starting from the reference bibliographic sources.
Saranno svolte attività in aula per la ricerca delle fonti attraverso l'utilizzo di database di settore.
Classroom activities will be carried out to serach for sources through the use of sector databases.
Lo studente potrà acquisire e/o sviluppare sensibilità rispetto alle problematiche della Geografia Umana, della Geografia delle popolazioni e dei flussi migratori.
The students can acquire and/or develop sensitivity to the problems Political Geography, economic space and migration flows.
Durante la normale interlocuzione in aula con gli studenti, sarà accertata l'acquisizione degli obiettivi stabiliti per il corso.
During the interlocution with the students in the classroom, the acquisition of the objectives established for the course will be ascertained.

The lessons will take place through frontal activities with the aid of slides and videos.
Il corso propone lo studio dei fondamenti della Geografia umana secondo un approccio incentrato sugli elementi della Geografia regionale e sui concetti di 'spazio' e di 'luogo', nonché sugli studi teorici che
analizzano le complesse dinamiche di interazione spaziale e di
trasformazione socio-culturale, che si manifestano nell'odierno mondo
globalizzato. Verrà dato altresì risalto ad alcuni approfondimenti inerenti ai temi della Geografia urbana e della Geografia politica, con particolare attenzione al tema dei fenomeni migratori e dei relativi processi evolutivi di ieri e di oggi. Durante il corso verranno forniti cenni sulla cartografia, anche in riferimento alle nuove applicazioni nel digitale.
Il corso si terrà in lingua italiana.
The course proposes the study of the foundations of Human Geography according to an approach based on the elements of Regional Geography and on the concepts of 'space' and 'place', as well as on the theoretical studies concerning the complex dynamics of spatial interaction and the
socio-cultural transformation related to the contemporary globalized world.
The course will focus on the themes of Urban Geography and Political Geography, with particular attention to the theme of the migratory phenomena and the related growth processes.
During the course, some notes on cartography will be provided, also with reference to new digital applications.
The course will be held in Italian language.

Il tema dei flussi migratori verrà ulteriormente sviluppato in aula attraverso seminari di approfondimento.

The theme of migration flows will be further developed durig the lessons with the support of research material.
Esame orale e, per gli studenti frequentanti, prove in itinere.
Per la preparazione dell'esame, si consiglia l'utilizzo di un buon atlante geografico.
The assessment consist of written /oral test according to the criteria of the art. 23 of University regulation.
For the test preparation, it is suggested to use a geographical atlas.
The course worths 6 credits.
