PRESENTAZIONE DEL CORSO
Il corso verterà su alcuni aspetti territoriali inerenti il fenomeno turistico: partendo dalla storia del turismo nei secoli, si affronteranno tematiche riguardanti l’analisi del territorio turistico e delle sue potenzialità presenti e future; verranno inoltre prese in esame alcune regioni turistiche virtuose, sia su scala nazionale che internazionale.
Un particolare approfondimento è stato dedicato ai seguenti argomenti:
La storia del turismo in Italia e in Europa,
i principali modelli teorici della geografia del turismo,
la classificazione del turismo e sue tipologie (balneare, montano, artistico culturale, congressuale, vocazionale, della memoria, dei non luoghi ecc.), l’aspetto motivazionale del turista,
la regione turistica e l’analisi del territorio turistico,
le distanze fra le località turistiche, le vie e i mezzi di trasporto in Italia e in Europa,
le principali località turistiche italiane ed europee e le loro potenzialità.

PRESENTAZIONE CORSO
Il corso fornirà le basi scientifiche per comprendere il significato del global change e come questo possa influenzare diversi ambienti turistici. Si analizzeranno i processi naturali che potrebbero coinvolgere diversi ambienti turistici a seguito del global change e come questi possano mitigare e adattarsi ai cambiamenti. Particolare attenzione sarà inoltre data all’effetto serra e al ruolo di questo nel bilanciamento energetico del nostro pianeta.
Il corso analizzerà i seguenti macro-argomenti:
- Il nostro pianeta e il suo bilanciamento energetico
- Impatti del Global Change sulle masse d’acqua e le zone costiere
- Impatti del Global Change sulla criosfera e le zone montane

COURSE: Global Change: geography of the touristic destinations

INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE
The course will focus on some territorial aspects of the tourism: starting from the history of tourism over the centuries, it will address issues concerning the analysis of the touristic territory and its current and future potential; it will be also examined some virtuous tourism regions, both on a national and international scale.
The course will be focussed particularly on the following topics:
The history of tourism in Italy and Europe,
the classification of tourism and its types (seaside, mountain, artistic and cultural, conference, vocational, memory, non-places, etc.),
the motivation of the tourists,
the tourist region and the analysis of the tourist area,
distances between tourist locations, routes and transportation in Italy and Europe,
the main Italian and European tourist resorts and their potentials.

The course will provide the scientific basis for understanding the meaning of global change and how this can affect different tourist environments. We will analyze the natural processes that could involve different tourist environments following the global change and how these can mitigate and adapt to changes. Particular attention will also be given to the greenhouse effect and its role in the energy balance of our planet.
The course will analyze the following macro-topics:
- Our planet and its energy balance
- Impacts of the Global Change on water masses and coastal areas
- Impacts of the Global Change on the cryosphere and mountain areas

- Tutte le slides presentate a lezione.
- Si consiglia l’utilizzo di un buon atlante geografico.
- Per quanto riguarda la parte dedicata alle destinazioni turistiche italiane ed europee, si consiglia di consultare i seguenti testi: F. Iarrera, G. Pilotti: I paesaggi del turismo, Zanichelli editore, vol. 1-2.
