The course introduces the main theories of textual grammar and will give the student the tools to develop an analytical competence of the text, in order to be able to carry out autonomously specific analyses on specific aspects of the text, such as the general criteria of textuality, cohesion, coherence, intertextuality and thematic progression. Daily texts will be analyzed (Alltagstextsorten, e.g. newspaper articles, legislative texts, political speeches), also focusing on the realization of some of the linguistic and stylistic phenomena dealt with in samples of literary texts.
