Al termine del corso lo studente avrà acquisito un quadro dei contatti letterari, linguistici e culturali tra le personalità poetiche più rilevanti dell’occitania medievale della seconda metà del sec. XIII e la corte di Alfonso X di Castiglia. All’interno del corso sarà organizzato un seminario sulla lingua provenzale, analizzata a partire dai fondamenti fonetici, grammaticali e lessicali fino alle elaborazioni retoriche e stilistiche che caratterizzano i testi degli autori presi in esame. Saranno svolte attività (prove scritte in itinere, traduzioni, redazioni scritte di relazioni e seminari) che rientrano nelle finalità del Progetto di eccellenza CECIL.
At the end of the course the student will have acquired a focus on the literary, linguistic and cultural contacts between the most relevant poetic personalities of medieval Occitania in the second half of the century. XIII and the court of Alfonso X of Castile. Within the course, a seminar on the Provençal language will be organized, analyzed starting from the phonetic, grammatical and lexical foundations up to the rhetorical and stylistic elaborations that characterize the texts of the authors examined. Activities will be carried out (written tests in progress, translations, written drafting of reports and seminars) which fall within the aims of the CECIL Excellence Project.

During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression.

The student must demonstrate that he possesses the elements and concepts acquired during the course, above all through reading, translation and commentary on the texts.
