Il corso fornisce agli studenti approfondite conoscenze sulle tematiche riguardanti l’emergere delle grandi questioni ambientali che hanno portato all’attuale definizione di “Antropocene” e del diverso significato che esso assume in contesti diversi.
The course provides students with in-depth knowledge on issues concerning the emergence of major environmental issues that have led to the current definition of "Anthropocene" and the different meaning it assumes in different contexts
- Lo studente sarà parte attiva del corso con lavori di gruppo e preparazione delle attività fuori sede che permetteranno di discutere e valutare le conoscenze apprese;
- Le conoscenze saranno verificate attraverso relazioni intermedie sulle attività svolte
- Le conoscenze saranno verificate in fase di prova finale
• The student will be an active part of the course with group work and preparation of off-site activities that will allow to discuss and evaluate the knowledge learned;
• Knowledge will be verified through interim reports on the activities carried out
• Knowledge will be verified in the final test phase
Lo studente alla fine del corso avrà padronanza delle principali problematiche connesse con l’emergere dell’impatto antropico sull’ambiente sia in termini spaziali che temporali e con gli aspetti pratici/applicativi che questa definizione comporta.
At the end of the course, the student will have mastered the main issues related to the emergence of the anthropic impact on the environment both in terms of space and time and with the practical/applicative aspects that this definition entails.
Verifica delle capacità acquisite avverrà attraverso lo studio anche di casi pratici e lo sviluppo di piccoli progetti di analisi basati su dati di letteratura o sull’attività pratica delle lezioni fuori sede. Lo studente dovrà preparare e presentare una relazione scritta relativa su argomenti concordati con il docente in fase di verifica finale.
Verification of the skills acquired will also take place through the study of practical cases
and the development of small analysis projects based on literature data or on the practical
activity of off-site lessons. The student must prepare and submit a written report on
topics agreed with the teacher in the final assessment phase.
Lo studente dovrà acquisire e/o sviluppare sensibilità alle problematiche ambientali anche attraverso la capacità di comprendere la complessità del sistema naturale/modificato dall’uomo con le relative implicazioni sociali ed ambientali.
The student will have to acquire and / or develop sensitivity to environmental issues also through the ability to understand the complexity of the natural / human-modified system with its social and environmental implications.
Le attività di lezione fuori sede saranno improntate alla verifica delle competenze apprese e ai comportamenti attraverso l’analisi dell’ambiente modificato dall’uomo.
The off-site lesson activities will be based on verifying the skills learned and behaviors through the analysis of the environment modified by man.

Le attività di lezione frontale avranno anche carattere seminariale coinvolgendo docenti di altre discipline. Inoltre le lezioni frontali saranno propedeutiche per le lezioni fuori sede e per sviluppare piccoli progetti alla fine dei quali saranno richieste relazioni.
Le lezioni fuori sede saranno improntate a lavorare su casi reali e materiali derivanti da progetti in corso al fine di migliorare la capacità di applicare l’esperienza a casi reali di studio.
The lecture activities will also have a seminar character, involving teachers of other disciplines. In addition, the lectures will be preparatory for off-site lessons and to develop small projects at the end of which reports will be required.Off-site lessons will be based on working on real cases and materials deriving from ongoing projects in order to improve the ability to apply the experience to real case studies.

The natural context of the development of man's impact on the environment: from the last glaciation to the present interglacial. Natural environmental and climatic variations. The exam consists of a presentation of a paper on a work project developed during the course activity or developed in an original and independent way by the student. The exam will be considered passed if the paper meets the minimum criteria of clarity and logic, followed by an exhaustive presentation.
