Learning outcomes
Knowledge
Thee student who successfully completes the course will be able to understand the several problems that needs knowledges of thermofuid-dynamics, engine' cycles, turbomachineries and wind turbines and to have the necessary mathematic instruments to work in all suches several problems.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student must demonstrate the ability to put into practice and to execute, with critical awareness, the activities illustrated or carried out under the guidance of the teacher during the course.

Syllabus
The course expose the foundation elements of the following principals area: the thermodynamic laws of energy; the thermofluid-dynamics of several principal engines; the heating exchangers; the proprieties of the fluids at low and high velocity in ducts, nozzles and in open area; the turbomachineries (axial and radial compressors and turbines); the wind turbines, and gives the necessary mathematic instruments to work in all such area.

There are not racommanded books. The main guide of the course is the work of Panayotis Psaroudakis: "Elementi di Energetica e Macchine", PLUS - PISA University press, ISBN 88-8492-219-4
