Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will be able to: 1)differentiate between various radiation sources, exposure, pathways and their related risks 2)understand the elements of radiation exposure, protection and shielding. 3) demonstrate advanced knowledge of the radiation protection standards, guidelines and recommendations.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology. During the oral exam (or written exam if the number of the candidates is greater than 2)the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression (or to organise an effective and correctly written reply).
