Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student who completes the course successfully will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of the Italian state and regional regulations in the field of tourism, with particular regard to the profiles of the central and peripheral administration, as well as private operators. She or he must acquire the ability to apply that knowledge to the solution of practical cases.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression.

Syllabus
The course, having found prefixed general remarks on the sources of law and administrative law, intends to deepen the public organization of tourism and the related discipline, with reference to the role and powers, state, regional and local authorities after revision of the Italian Constitution of 2001 and the subsequent legislative and administrative practice. Part of the course will be devoted to the discipline of European tourism, as amended by the Lisbon Treaty, with Brief Comparison between the Italian system and some of the other major European experiences. As part of the course will be developed on the following topics: - The sources of tourism in the Italian in the light of Community law; - The public organization of tourism in Italy; - The powers from the State, the regions and local authorities; - The administrative discipline of travel agencies - The administrative discipline of jobs in tourism - The assets of the maritime domain used for tourist purposes - The agri-tourism - The fishing tourism - The thermal tourism.
