Learning outcomes
Knowledge
Educational objectives The above course aims to provide students with knowledge and skills in the field of planning and control in companies of any type and size using a dual perspective: normative and pragmatic. Based on this premise, after having framed the issue in terms of meaning and role assumed by the management system of planning and control in corporations, but in the light of the latest trends and doctrinal changes, the aim of the course is to dedicate particular attention to certain accounting methods and tools operating in support of the management in decision-making operational. Learning Outcomes Knowledge and understanding: Students will acquire knowledge about the meaning and role of management control in the company system and the main tools to support managers in the activity of the head of the company . Application: Knowledge of the principles that underlie the planning and control and key management tools today reveals a fundamental requirement for those working / will work with public and private roles of directional type . Making judgments: At the end of the course students are able to understand and critically evaluate the issues related to management control. Communication skills: Students will discuss the issues related to management control and will be able to "build" operationally a business budget . Learning skills: students will be offered the possibility of effective learning through a combination of lectures of an institutional and a software application for the preparation of the system of corporate budgets
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student will be evaluated for his / her demonstrated ability to discuss the main contents of the course using the appropriate terminology. - During the oral exam, the student must be able to demonstrate his / her knowledge of the course material. - The student's ability to correctly explain the main topics covered during the course. - In the written examination (3 hours, choice of 2 essay questions), the student must demonstrate his / her knowledge of the course material, to organize an effective and properly written and perform the exercise on the analysis of variances - With the oral presentation, the student must demonstrate the ability to deal with a problem of limited search, and organize an effective display of results. - The student must demonstrate the ability to prepare the company budget.
