Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the main topics of introductory general physics developed without the use of calculus. The student will have the ability to solve basic problems in statics, dynamics, fluids, electrostatics, magnetism and ray optics.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student must demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material by solving problems and exercises during both the oral and written exam.

Syllabus
Introductory course in general Physics. Topics: Dynamic principles, elementary forces and model of interactions. Motion of a particle. Conservation laws. Fluid mechanic. Scalar and vector fields. Electrostatics of conductors. Conductors and linear electrical circuits. Circuit with capacitors. Basic law of radioactivity. Traveling and stationary waves. Magnetism. Electromagnetic force on charges. Ray optics and basic optics instruments.
