Knowledge
Students are expected to acquire:
knowledge of technologies and their application principles;
knowledge of methods and instruments used for the study and evaluation of adapted physical activity;
ability to integrate the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in planning and designing new adapted training protocols according to the age, gender, ability and presence of chronic diseases.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
With the oral presentation, to be made to the teacher and the other students, the student must demonstrate the ability to approach a circumscribed research problem, and organise an effective exposition of the results.

Syllabus
The technology in the Adapted Physical Activity: training assessment, activity monitoring, education (internet-web), recreational activities (video games). Introduction to biomedical instrumentation: hardware and software structure. Methods for the treatment of biomedical signals and data. Software tools for data processing. Introduction to MatLab: language, syntax, mathematical and logical operators, functions and graphics.
Applicative examples: use of accelerometers for the study of gait in motor-disabled person; assessment of the posture of elderly subjects with a low-cost balance board; design of a website oriented to APA.
